Affiliate program terms

• ProgramThe stepvideo affiliate program described on this page and on /affiliates, operated by Easital Technologies Ltd. (“we”, “stepvideo”).
• AffiliateA person or company whose application we have approved and who has not been removed from the Program (“you”).
• LinkA tracked URL we issue to you, of the form stepvideo.io/r/<your-code>, including any code you later choose in the portal.
• Referred customerA stepvideo workspace attributed to your Link under §4 that makes at least one paid subscription payment.
• Qualifying paymentA payment by a referred customer for a stepvideo subscription made within the commission window in §3, that has not been refunded, reversed or charged back.
• PortalThe affiliate dashboard at /affiliates/login, where you manage your Link, payout method, tax form and statistics.

You may apply if you are at least 18, able to enter a binding agreement, and can lawfully receive payments from us in your country. We review every application by hand and may approve or decline it at our discretion, without giving a reason. Approval is by email, and it is the moment these terms take effect between us. A stepvideo customer may also be an affiliate; §5(a) still applies to their own workspace.

You must keep the email address, name, website and payout details in the Portal accurate. We may suspend the Program for you while any of them is in doubt.

• (a) Rate20% of each qualifying payment. We may set a different rate for you individually, in writing, and that rate then replaces this one for payments after the change.
• (b) WindowQualifying payments are those made in the first 12 months after the referred customer’s first paid subscription payment. Payments after that window earn nothing, even if the customer stays.
• (c) BasisThe amount the customer actually paid for the subscription, before tax and after any discount, coupon or account credit. Taxes, payment fees, and one-time purchases such as minute packs are not commissionable.
• (d) SnapshotThe rate in force when a payment is made is the rate for that payment. A later rate change does not reprice commission already accrued.

When a visitor follows your Link we set a cookie that lives 90 days. A workspace created from a browser carrying that cookie is attributed to you, and the attribution does not expire: a customer who subscribes a year after signing up is still yours for the window in §3(b).

Attribution is first touch: if a visitor arrives through several affiliates’ links, the first one they followed is credited, and a later link does not displace it. Only visits through the Link count — a mention of stepvideo without the Link, or a link whose tracking has been stripped, cannot be attributed after the fact.

We are the sole record of attribution. Click, signup and customer counts in the Portal are that record.

Each of these voids the commission concerned and may end the Program for you under §8:

• (a) Self-referralReferring yourself, your own company, your employees or a workspace you control or benefit from, under any email address.
• (b) Brand biddingBuying search or social advertising on “stepvideo”, misspellings of it, or our product names, or sending paid traffic to your Link from any ad that names us.
• (c) Coupon and deal sitesPublishing your Link on coupon, voucher, cashback or deal aggregators, or presenting it as a discount code.
• (d) SpamUnsolicited email, messages or comments carrying your Link, and any placement that breaks the rules of the platform it is on.
• (e) Misleading claimsDescribing features, prices, results or guarantees stepvideo does not offer, or presenting yourself as stepvideo, its employee or its official site.
• (f) Incentivised signupsPaying, rewarding or otherwise inducing people to sign up through your Link, including sharing your commission with them.
• (g) InterferenceCookie stuffing, forced clicks, iframes, redirects that set the cookie without a deliberate visit, or any attempt to alter attribution.

• (a) HoldCommission on a qualifying payment is pending for 120 days after the payment, which covers the customer’s refund window. It then becomes payable.
• (b) ScheduleWe pay payable commission monthly, in the currency the customer paid in, once the payable total in that currency reaches $50 or its equivalent. Below the minimum, it carries over to the next month.
• (c) MethodBy PayPal, Wise or bank transfer to the destination you set in the Portal. Fees charged by the receiving provider are yours. We store the destination encrypted; it is decrypted only to send a payout, and each decryption is logged.
• (d) ReversalIf a payment is refunded, reversed or charged back, its commission is reversed. If we have already paid it, the amount is deducted from your next payouts. We do not otherwise reclaim money we have sent.
• (e) ConditionsNo payout is made before a tax form under §7 is verified or while your account is suspended under §8. Payable commission keeps accruing meanwhile.

Before your first payout you must upload a signed tax form in the Portal: a W-9 for US persons and businesses, a W-8BEN for individuals outside the US, or a W-8BEN-E for non-US companies. We may reject a form that is incomplete or does not match your details and ask for another. You are responsible for any tax on commission you receive; we do not withhold unless the law requires it, and where it does, the amount withheld is shown on the payout.

You may leave the Program at any time from the Portal or by writing to us. We may suspend or end your participation at any time on notice by email, and immediately for a breach of §5.

When participation ends, your Link stops attributing new signups and no further commission accrues. Commission already earned is still paid on the schedule in §6 — unless the Program ended for fraud or a breach of §5, in which case unpaid commission connected to that conduct is forfeited.

We may change these terms, the rate, the window, the hold, the minimum or the cookie. We will email the address in your Portal at least 14 days before a change that reduces what you earn, and publish the new version here with a new effective date. Continuing to share your Link after the effective date is acceptance. Commission accrued before a change stays at the rate in force when it was earned (§3(d)).

You are an independent party. Nothing here creates employment, agency, partnership or a joint venture, and you may not make commitments on our behalf. You may use the stepvideo name and logo only to identify the product and only as we present them; we may withdraw that permission at any time.

Our liability to you under the Program is limited to commission properly earned and unpaid. The Terms of Service — including their governing law, disclaimers and limits of liability — apply to the Program as if set out here, and prevail if the two conflict.
