stepvideo vs Guidde
This is the closest comparison on the site: both tools record a workflow and hand back a narrated how-to video and a written guide. The differences are the automatic edit, the price, and how much of the product is gated behind Enterprise.
No credit card needed — 5 AI video minutes, free for 10 days.

Before the table: when Guidde is the right call
Guidde is an AI how-to video and documentation platform. There are jobs it does better than we do, and this is the list. If you recognise yourself on the right, we'd rather you went and used it than churned in month two.
Pick stepvideo when…
- You want the edit itself to be automatic and specified — zooms anchored to clicks and dead time compressed by published thresholds you can read before you record.
- You're one person or a small team and don't want to price a per-creator seat plus an Enterprise conversation.
- Translation matters to you now rather than after an Enterprise upgrade.
The claims on our side are all specified. Read the edit rules
Pick Guidde when…
- You need a desktop app for non-browser software — Guidde's Business plan lists it and stepvideo has none.
- You want to turn existing PDFs and PowerPoints into videos, which Guidde's Business plan lists and stepvideo does not do.
- You want viewer analytics on who watched what.
- You're an enterprise buyer who needs SSO, PII redaction and a procurement-shaped contract today.
- Guidde's free plan covers up to 25 how-to videos; stepvideo gives a 10-day free trial with 5 AI minutes, no card, watermarked.

The same steps, numbered, each with a screenshot from your recording. Print, paste, or publish.

A share page
Every render gets a page that plays the video — public, or unlisted for link-only access.

Questions
stepvideo vs Guidde, asked plainly
Guidde and stepvideo look like the same product. What actually differs?
The automatic edit is the honest answer. Both generate narration and a written guide from a recording. stepvideo additionally decides where to zoom from your click events, compresses dead air, and cuts marked mistakes — and publishes the thresholds it uses, so you can read what will happen to your footage before you record it. Guidde's plans are also priced per creator with more of the product on Business and Enterprise.
Is Guidde better for large companies?
Today, often yes, and we'd rather you heard it here. Guidde has a desktop app, viewer analytics, PII redaction and an enterprise motion that stepvideo hasn't built. If those are on your requirements list, stepvideo will lose that evaluation.
Does Guidde have a free plan?
Yes — up to 25 how-to videos on the free tier, as listed on their pricing page on 15 August 2026. stepvideo has a 10-day free trial with 5 AI minutes, no card, watermarked; the trial takes no card and nothing charges at the end of it — exports are watermarked and draft-quality until you pick a plan.
