To become an affiliate, you:
- Have an audience that makes or needs how-to videos — a course, a channel, a newsletter, or clients' help centers.
- Create your affiliate account below and agree to the program terms. You don't need a stepvideo workspace.
- Get approved. A person reads every application.
Accepted into the program
To start earning, you:
- Sign in to the affiliate portal and copy your tracked link.
- Share it, or a banner or embed from the promo kit, wherever your audience already is.
- Upload your tax form and add a payout method, so nothing waits on paperwork later.
Get paid
Every customer you send then:
- Earns you 20% of every payment they make for 12 months.
- Becomes payable 120 days after each payment, once the refund window has closed.
- Is paid out monthly, once you're owed $50 or more in a currency.

Anyone with an audience that makes or needs how-to videos: creators, consultants, agencies, publications, communities. We review every application by hand and say yes to people who can describe where the link will go. You don't need to be a stepvideo customer.
How long does the cookie last, and what does first touch mean?
90 days from the click. First touch means the first affiliate link a visitor arrives through is the one credited — a later click on someone else's link doesn't take the referral away from you, and yours doesn't take one from them.
What counts as a sale?
A referred workspace's first paid subscription payment and every renewal after it for 12 months, on any plan. Commission is 20% of the amount the customer actually paid: pre-tax, after any discount or credit.
What happens on a refund or chargeback?
Commission is held for 120 days so most refunds land before anything is paid. If a payment is refunded or charged back after we've paid you, that commission is reversed and deducted from your next payout — never clawed back from your account.
When and how am I paid?
Monthly. Each payment becomes payable 120 days after the customer made it; at the end of the month we pay everything payable, per currency, once it reaches $50 (or the equivalent) in that currency. Below the minimum it rolls over. Payouts go by PayPal, Wise or bank transfer to the method you set in the portal.
Which tax form do I need?
A W-9 if you're a US person or business, a W-8BEN if you're an individual outside the US, or a W-8BEN-E for a non-US company. You upload the signed PDF in the portal; nothing is paid out until it's verified, and we never ask for a tax ID in a form field.
What do you store about me?
Your payout destination is encrypted at rest and shown to you masked, as its last four characters; an operator can open it only to send a payout, and every time that happens is logged. You add it after approval, in the portal — never on the application. Tax forms are uploaded as signed PDFs; we store no tax ID in a database column.
Can I refer myself?
No. A signup with your own email, your team's, or a workspace you control is not a referral and accrues nothing. Repeated self-referral ends the partnership.
Can I bid on the stepvideo name or list the link on a coupon site?
No. Paid search on our name or misspellings of it, and coupon or deal aggregators, are excluded — those visitors were already on their way to us. The program is for audiences you've built, not traffic bought around the brand.
I'm already a customer. Can I be an affiliate too?
Yes. Apply with the email on your account and, once approved, the portal is one click from your workspace settings. The only thing you can't do is refer your own workspace.
How do I see my stats?
Sign in to the affiliate portal with your email and the password you set for it — or with Google, if that is the address you applied with. The portal shows clicks, signups, customers, what's pending, what's payable and what's been paid, plus every commission line and payout.
