Before the table: when Navattic is the right call

Navattic is an interactive product demo platform. There are jobs it does better than we do, and this is the list. If you recognise yourself on the right, we'd rather you went and used it than churned in month two.

Pick stepvideo when…

  • You need a file and a link: an MP4 for a help centre, an email or a launch post, plus a numbered written guide.
  • The audience has to learn a procedure and then repeat it in the real product.
  • You want per-minute pricing rather than seats: Navattic sells Base and Growth as seat bundles, read on 2 October 2026.
  • You want narration, captions and the guide from one take rather than a demo plus a separate video tool.

The claims on our side are all specified. Read the edit rules

Pick Navattic when…

  • Your demo belongs in a landing page as an interactive element a visitor drives themselves.
  • You need deep CRM and sales-stack integration — their tiers list Slack, HubSpot, Salesforce, Marketo, Gong, Salesloft, Outreach and more.
  • You want account identification, pipeline-impact reporting and A/B testing on the demo itself.
  • You want AI avatars with the demo; their plans list 50, 100 and 300 avatar minutes by tier.
  • A single free demo is enough to start: Starter is free for everyone, 1 seat, 1 demo.

What you get

One take. Three things to hand over.

One pass produces the video, the written guide, and the share page.

The edited video

Zooms on your clicks, dead time compressed, mistakes cut, voiceover and word-by-word captions — 1080p.

Recording bar reading 'Recording screen 00:10' over a Google Slides deck, with the presenter's webcam in the corner of the slide

A written guide

The same steps, numbered, each with a screenshot from your recording. Print, paste, or publish.

A page of a generated guide: 'Step 01, Navigate to Mautomate', two numbered instructions and the step's screenshot, with a text formatting toolbar above it

A share page

Every render gets a page that plays the video — public, or unlisted for link-only access.

Share dialog with Public access switched on, 'Anyone with the link can view', a stepvideo share link and a Copy link button

Questions

stepvideo vs Navattic, asked plainly

What does Navattic cost?

Their pricing page lists Starter as free for everyone, Base at $500 a month and Growth at $1,000 a month when billed annually, rising to $600 and $1,200 billed monthly, read on 2 October 2026. Startup and Enterprise are on request. The figures render in the page rather than in its source, so a quick look at the HTML can suggest no price is published when it is.

Can I get a video out of Navattic, or a guide out of stepvideo?

Both, in fact. Navattic's docs describe capturing screenshots and video, exporting MP4, and exporting a PDF with a screenshot and narration per step, read on 2 October 2026. The difference is not whether each produces a document but what the primary artifact is: a demo a viewer clicks through, against a video a viewer watches with the guide beside it.

Could a team use both?

Routinely, and it is the honest answer. An interactive demo on the pricing page for prospects, and narrated videos with written guides in the help centre for the customers who bought. They are not competing for the same moment.
