Refund Policy

Last updated September 10, 2026

The short version

If stepvideo isn't working out within your first 14 days on a paid plan and you've barely used it, we'll refund you. That window is about money you have already paid — it is not the 10-day free trial, during which nothing is charged at all. Email [email protected] with the email you purchased under — no forms, no hoops.

Subscriptions

First-time subscriptions (Creator or Studio, monthly or yearly) are refundable in full within 14 days of the initial purchase, provided usage has been minimal — fewer than 10 AI video minutes rendered since the purchase. Above that, we may prorate the refund for the minutes consumed or decline it at our discretion: rendering has real third-party costs (AI voiceover and video processing) that we cannot recover.

Renewals are not automatically refundable — cancel anytime before renewal and you keep access until the end of the paid period — but if a renewal charged you unexpectedly, contact us within 14 days and we'll make it right.

Minute packs

One-time minute packs are refundable within 14 days of purchase if the minutes are unused. Once minutes from a pack have been spent on rendering videos, the pack is non-refundable.

How refunds are processed

Payments are processed by our merchant of record, Paddle, so approved refunds are issued by Paddle to your original payment method — typically within 5–10 business days depending on your bank. You can also reach Paddle directly via paddle.net with your order details.

Try before you pay

Every account starts with a 10-day free trial and no payment card, so you can make a real video before you ever enter one. Nothing is charged when the trial ends, because we never took a card — exporting simply stops until you choose a plan. Paid plans are charged at checkout. Questions before buying: support.

Fair use

This policy exists so nobody is stuck paying for something that didn't work for them — not as a way to render videos for free. We may decline refunds that form a pattern of repeated purchase-and-refund across billing periods or accounts. Statutory consumer rights in your country are unaffected by anything on this page.
